It was a season full of accomplishments for the ‘Cats. Coach Joe McKeown reached 600 career victories with a win over his alma mater, Kent State. The Wildcats were ranked in the AP Poll for the first time since 1995. Northwestern won 20 games for the first time since the 1995-’96 season, and won double-digit conference games for the first time since the 1991-’92 season. The ‘Cats reached the semifinals of the Big Ten Tournament for the first time ever, and finally the ‘Cats went dancing, making the NCAA Tournament at a No. 7 seed, for the first time since 1997.
