Big Ten Pro Basketball Recap: Week of Feb. 2

Each week this winter quarter I recap how Northwestern and other Big Ten schools’ alumni perform in the NBA and overseas. Each week I’ll look at four different Big Ten teams’ NBA stars and Northwestern’s international players overseas, recapping how each player’s season is going and choosing a performance of the week. This week one Northwestern graduate had had 21 points on 7 of 12 shooting, while a Wisconsin alum had 14 points and three assists.

While Northwestern has no basketball alums currently playing in the NBA, the Big Ten Conference has 30 alums playing for NBA Teams. Here’s how Big Ten basketball alums from four Big Ten schools are performing in the NBA and their best game this past week:

Iowa:

Reggie Evans, PF, Brooklyn Nets: 2.32 PPG, 5.00 RPG, 0.18 APG
Game of the Week:
Evans had zero points on 0 of 3 shooting; two rebounds and one assist in a 120-95 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder Jan. 31.

Minnesota:

Kris Humphries, PF, Boston Celtics: 7.78 PPG, 5.95 RPG, 1.00 APG
